Chardonnay

Forester Estate Chardonnay is sourced from Margaret River vines that are meticulously managed to ensure balanced ripening. The fruit, all Gin Gin clone Chardonnay, is handpicked.

The grapes are held in cold storage overnight. After pressing off skins the juice is settled naturally, then racked and transferred to new and seasoned French oak barrels. Fermentation occurs with a mix of inoculated and wild yeasts.

The wine matures for 10 months in barrel. The lees are stirred regularly for seven months before the wine is left to clarify.

Pale straw green, Forester Estate Chardonnay has ripe fruit flavours with nutty oak, a soft, creamy texture and balanced acidity. Cellaring potential is four years.
